about-us-andy-stell-rush-wimbledon.jpgOur first ever hair salon, Rush Wimbledon, was opened 18 years ago by founders Andy and Stell who shared one vision; to create stunningly beautiful yet wearable hairstyles, each as unique and individual as you. We’ve come a long way since 1994, but that philosophy has stayed with us through thick and thin.

Ever since their formation in 1999, our Artistic Team has been making their mark in hairdressing history. Their ground breaking creativity and extraordinary talent has let them to win an outstanding 12 British Hairdressing Awards. Their impact on the worldwide hairdressing industry, coupled with an ever growing celebrity clientele, is testament to their passion for their craft.

In 2008 we opened our very own Advanced Academy. We strongly believe that excellence can only be achieved through strong foundations and a commitment to your craft, so we offer training courses taught by our inspirational Artistic Team to each and every one of our hairstylists; thus ensuring that their passion, creativity and skill is continually nurtured and developed, and that you can be confident that when it comes to hair, your stylist knows their stuff.

2010 saw us celebrate the opening of our 50th salon, Rush Earls Court Road. To celebrate we wanted to do something really special and to use our strengths to give something back, so we collaborated with Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital on their HAIRraising campaign and raised over £50,000 for the charity that year. We continue to support them to this day.

In 2010 we also formed the Rush Session Team, headed up Tina Farey and Sam Burnett, the crème de la crème of editorial hairstylists; they’ve developed a fantastic profile at the heart of the fashion industry. The team have been a favourite at London Fashion Week ever since and are honoured to have worked alongside the likes of Belle Sauvage, Pam Hogg and PPQ to mention a few.

In 2012 we launched our flagship hair and beauty salon; The House of Rush, on London’s Piccadilly. Inspired by the hairdressing greats of a bygone era and a passion for hair, mind, body and soul, the urban sanctuary offers nothing but the finest, indulgent and most luxurious treatments to be found in modern Mayfair.

We now have over 60 Rush hair and beauty salons across London and the South, each unique in their location, decor and people yet united in their passion. We’re the first to admit we’ve grown up quickly, but equally proud to say that we’ve not once lost sight of where we came from and although we’ve re packaged it slightly, to this day the Rush Philosophy rings true as it did all those years ago. It’s you, by Rush.
