Awe inspiring and show stopping, the multi award winning RUSH Artistic Team opened the L’Oreal Colour Trophy in Ireland with ‘My Queen’; a tribute to the late Alexander McQueen.
“The section where we dressed hair, paid homage to some of the key designs from previous McQueen collections. Snow Queen, Snake, Clown and deconstructed looks referenced iconic McQueen pieces. We then worked on a men’s section that had a theme of Gangs of New York, with a strong androgynous twist. The show finished with a section featuring cut and colour on models featuring graphic cuts and a bold array of colours. From whites and greys, red mixed with coppers and petrol tones of blues and greens, the looks defined RUSH’s creativity.”

“It was a great honour to be asked by L’Oreal to present at the Irish L’Oreal Colour Trophy. Our show was called ‘My Queen’, which was a tribute to the greatest designer of all time; Alexander McQueen. He was a great inspiration to the hairdressing world and I felt it would be a fitting tribute for us to honour him in this particular show. McQueen will live in our hearts forever”
Stell Andrew, Int. Creative Director, RUSH Hair.
