If you dream of soft, shiny and manageable hair, the Nanokeratin Brazilian Blow Dry could be just what you’ve been waiting for.
- smoothes and straightens
- makes your hair shiny and silky
- saves you time in styling your hair
- rebuilds and repairs damaged and weakened hair
- locks in colour
Your hair will feel soft and nourished for up to 14 weeks thanks to the replenishing Nanokeratin particles that penetrate deep into each hair cuticle to condition every single strand.
To make sure your hair stays beautifully smooth and manageable for longer, we recommend you use the sulphate-free Nanokeratin System Hair Repair Shampoo and System Magic Touch Leave-in Conditioner.
If you can’t find the answer to your question here, your hairdresser will be more than happy to talk things through with you.
Is the Brazilian straightening treatment suitable for all hair types?
Yes – but it’s especially effective for rejuvenating damaged, coarse and chemically treated hair.
Can I have it if I’ve already had chemical treatments, including straightening procedures, done on my hair?
Yes – this is absolutely fine, but we recommend you have a full consultation with your hairdresser beforehand.
How long will the Blow Dry last?
Results will depend on the original condition of your hair, like with all salon treatments. On average the Brazilian Blow Dry will last between 12 and 16 weeks.
How long does it take?
Around 90 minutes for short hair and 150 minutes for long hair.
I also want to book a Cut & Finish, should I do so before or after?
After, to remove any split ends.
Should I colour my hair before or after?
Ideally, the treatment should be applied a day or so after colouring your hair, to lock the colour in. Otherwise, it’s recommended you wait at least two weeks following the treatment before colouring your hair.
What happens if the treatment doesn’t seem to work?
We’ll try our best to rectify the situation if, within four days of the treatment, your hair goes back to its original state. This is really unlikely, but just come back to the salon and we’ll review the treatment and see what we can do to help.
Is there anything I should avoid doing immediately after my treatment?
For the four days following your Brazilian Blow Dry, please avoid:
- Wetting your hair (in the shower, swimming pool or sea)
- Applying any hair care or styling products
I’ve heard the Nanokeratin System contains formaldehyde. Can you tell me why and how much?
Formaldehyde is an antibacterial agent found in many everyday products. Trace amounts can be found in all Brazilian Blow Dry treatments. You don’t have to worry because the Nanokeratin System contains just 0.02%, which is 10 times less than the legal maximum of 0.2%, and 100 times less than the level at which it may become dangerous – 2%.
