The time has come… we have officially entered the greatest party season there is, so we wanted to share the key Autumn/Winter 2021 styles that we think you should know about…
We have already seen the return of autumnal colours this season. A favourite amongst many is those warmer tones of the classic colours, including; coppers, blondes, browns and a lot more burgundy brunettes and deep reds. Think Rosie Huntington-Whiteley golden locks or copper like Emma Stone and you’re onto a winner.
However, this year we are also seeing mixes of blues, purples, and plum tones; here at Rush we like to use the word ‘petrol tones’ to describe these types of colours. (So, if you hear your stylist mention ‘Petrol Tones’, we are not talking about the recent petrol shortage!) If you dare to go bolder, we’ll definitely be behind you.
To compliment these beautiful colours and since lockdown, we’ve noticed that a lot of people are preferring the low maintenance looks and styles. Including the one-length cut, long layers or ‘the midi’ (the perfect in-between length). If this is a bit of you speak with your stylist about a cut suitable for you and your lifestyle. There are so many ways that your stylist can help style your hair for you so you can wear it naturally (whether it’s straight, wavey or curly), as well style-up ready for any occasion!
BUT, this year we are also giving a big nod to the 70’s. Say hello to the return of the shag haircut and mullet (yes that’s right, Miley Cyrus is a vibe). We’re loving the messy, grown out fringe look here at Rush. And to take the trend further, layers have been making a return (shoutout to the early days of Friends and Jennifer Aniston & Courteney Cox iconic looks). They can be tailored to you and your stylist can help you decide the right length for your hair type.
We also couldn’t not mention the classic bob… a chic trend that always makes a comeback and can be seen in all different shapes and sizes. Whether it’s a sleek, sharp finish or an edgier, choppy look you’re after, we think a bob is a must for those who can brave the big chop!
