Balmain Paris, Signed, Sealed, Delivered With A Kiss
Paris fashion house, Balmain, has accompanied fellow luxury fashion brands, Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Lacroix, Chanel, Hermes and Lanvin, when they announced that La Poste, the French post office, has chosen acclaimed Balmain Paris designer Olivier Rousteing to produce its yearly limited-edition romance themed postage stamps.
Balmain described Olivier Rousteing’s creations as:
Fiercely feminine Coeurs 2017 design rocks romance 21st-century style, turning a love letter into a fashion statement…
We couldn’t agree more, these baroque inspired, elegant stamps are the perfect way for any French gentleman or gentle-woman to declare their love!
The stamps are available to inspired Parisians (or interested foreign fashionistas) in two complimentary pastel colour sets, yellow and blue or pink and green with sensational vertical black and white stripes and diamonds. The final touches, decadent Orchids in fuchsia, yellow and orange.
This 21st century Rococo style is reflected in the fashion house’s celebrated spring 2017 women’s collection which also incorporates pastels with delicate lacework, vertical stripes, and vivid architectural motifs. Reminiscent of the Chapel of Versailles Palace, but with just a little bit more iPad chic.
Satisfied with their commission, La Poste has described the Balmain stamp set as:
evoking a poetic and loving spirit, reinforced by its heart shape.
If you’d like to grab yourself a little piece of fashion history, and don’t happen to live in France, then you can still buy a set of the Balmain Paris designed Coeurs 2017 heart shaped stamps online at the French Post Office website – available since January 23rd.
