The team were tasked to pass on their knowledge on salon colour, cut and styling to a group of hairdressers. Tina focused on her expert cutting techniques while Chris headed the colour training. The programme consisted of creative live demonstrations and practice sessions for creating ‘It Looks’ for S/S 2016. We caught up with Tina for a some insight on all the exciting trends passed on and what they got up to.

The first training days took place in Dubai.

The first day was focued on demonstrations. Chris focused on creating S/S 16 season’s hottest colours, with focus on new shades: burgundy, cool blondes and mochas. Tina headed up the cutting looks: one length with forward graduation, styled with Full Volume mousse by TecNi Art for a smooth and sleek hold. The second look was a long layer style using TecNi Art Volume Lift and the Volume Extra mousse. To end, the technique behind creating a fabulous 60’s Chelsea blowdry was revealed to the group.

On day 2 the hairdressers were taught how to create a new set of trends: look one was designed for long hair with a cut for added texture and volume. The team also created a Gisele blowdry for that 80’s glamour look, then a versatile undercut bob with strength and movement worn super sleek using TecNi Art.

On the third and final day in Dubai, Tina showed how to restyle hair into with a key hole haircut designed for fine hair. Then they created a trendy collar bone length cut with bouncy layers on the crown and sweeping fringe. The final look was a long 3 layered disconnection for long hair and textured ends. All styled with with TecNi Art PLi and Crepage de Chingnon.

Day 4 wrapped up the week with the final session in Abu Dhabi. The team recreated the key hole look from Day 3 in Dubai and added a beautiful layered bob with disconnected side for a fresh look to replace a classic bob!
