Rush Live 2014

On Sunday 12 October 2014, our Rush Artistic Team, Workshop and Session Team came together for Rush Live, Rush’s most creative charitable event of the year to showcase their new collections in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.

The New London Theatre, in Covent Garden London, was filled with over 600 stylists and guests in the industry. Co-founders Andy Phouli and Stell Andrew set the night off expressing their love for Rush Live and helping GOSH Charity.

Stell, who’s known for his uplifting persona, pledged an extra £3k more  from himself and Andy, once the audience performed a ‘Rush Mexican Wave’ and so the mood was set. Soon after a heart-warming GOSH video was shown which showed how the funds raised will help the children at the Hospital and many more to come. GOSH Representative, Lauren, expressed GOSH’s appreciation and why this partnership is so important to the Hospital.

The Birds Catwalk

International Artistic Director, Andy Heasman and our International Colour Director took to the stage to demonstrate their creations inspired by birds. Andy showcased his cutting techniques used while Chris talked through his colouring methods. The overall looks showed movement, elements of avant garde, and texture.

The Butterfly Catwalk

Taken from a recent concept with L’Oreal, Chris Williams, introduced the Butterfly Catwalk with a breath-taking film produced for the L’Oreal Colour Trophy.  The atmosphere took to a high as the models appeared on stage with the keys looks from the video.

Jessica Quarmby from Rush Reigate & Ashley Haynes from Rush Canterbury, the winners of a Cutting Expert competition headed by Andy Heasman, were announced and given the opportunity to showcase their looks.

With art direction by Editorial Director, Tina Farey, the session team were back on stage with their model to complete the final catwalk look under the bird theme.

The night ended with all the models and the full team on stage for the final time to close what was deemed as the best Rush Live to date.

For everyone who attended, donated or supported the night in anyway, a huge THANK YOU from Rush and Great Ormond Street Hospital.
