On Sunday, we were proud to be a part of the Amsterdam Fashion Week 2015. Led by Tina Farey, our Editorial Director and Session Team members James Oxley and Isabella Hyde, our team presented their looks for the L’Oréal Professionnel Catwalk Hairshow.
The show was hosted at the Westergasfabriek, a historical cultural venue which was formerly a nineteenth century gasworks. As a part of the fashion week’s activities, the Catwalk Hairshow joins extraordinary hair with catwalk trends.
Rush’s Editorial Director, Tina Farey describes the Rush’s catwalk section for the show
‘The show was a great success! There were two themes – the first was abstract, for S/S 15. It played on texture and urban street style with airy loose structure. Imagine an artist sketch book and sketched out illustrations of whimsical hair. We used dreadlocks/ frizz textures/ loose crimping with blonde being the emphasis. Then the second was restraint, for A/W15. This was about seduction and had a dark bondage theme. The hair was very dark with high shine – hair was forced into place using gel and tight ponytails with silver bolts, and bound with leather and structured braiding.’- Tina Farey
