RUSH OSCARS 2011 – PICCADILLY THEATRE

 

This Year’s annual RUSH ‘Oscars’ were held at the infamous Piccadilly Theatre, normally home to the cast of hit West End show, Grease. The atmosphere was electric as company Chairman, Andrew Phouli and Int. Creative Director, Stelios Andrew gave passionate and motivational speeches that truly inspired the 1000 plus strong RUSH group in attendance on the night.

Andy showcased all of 2010’s accomplishments demonstrating an incredible year of business growth including the opening of eight new stunning salons. Stell proudly talked through all of the creative achievements; introducing the RUSH Session Team and the exciting events they have worked at, including London Fashion Week and Clothes Show London to the array of coveted awards the RUSH Artistic Team have won.

Such success is inevitable with the strong leadership offered by Andy and Stell. They highlighted the importance of Customer Service with the mantra that client is God and emphasised how ‘education, education, education’ is vital in being able to offer the highest standard of hairdressing and gain the retention of clients. The eager audience were left in no doubt that the team should have ‘one team, one goal, and one commitment,’ being fearless in achieving your goal.

To lead by example, the RUSH Workshop Team then presented their creativity and talent in a catwalk inspired from the Penrose Steps and graphic designer M.C. Escher. They created various shapes with disconnection, cleverly accentuated with colour to give an optical illusion.

Their mentors, this year’s British Hairdressing Awards Artistic Team of the Year 2010, showcased nine models in three back to back dramatic and seductive Catwalks expanding on the recent RUSH Lives’ Arch-I-Tech theme of soft, ergonomic shapes enhanced by soft blondes, deep coppers and ruby reds.

Leading Artistic Team members Andrew Heasman and Dimitri Loizi hosted the much anticipated awards section of the evening. Stell Andrew, described the RUSH Oscars as “an opportunity to recognise and reward these who have excelled throughout the year in true RUSH style and thank them for their dedication and hard work. RUSH Hair had an incredible 2010 and we wanted to thank our team for their part in making RUSH Hair the success it is and will continue to be in 2011.”
