This is the perfect time of the year to look overly glamorous, pull out your big fur coat you’ve never had the opportunity to wear and get ready to have the most Hollywood-esq hair you’ve ever seen – It’s Halloween!
Marilyn’s retro waves were a key part of her persona. To achieve this look you’ll have to take on Marilyn’s aura, elegance and beauty…plus your hairdo needs to be perfect!
To get this look:
Towel dry your hair and apply a dollop of voluminous mousse. Part your hair on one side. Roll wide sections of hair around curlers or a wide curling iron. If you choose to use rollers, blow dry with rollers then remove from cooled hair. If using a tong allow each section of hair to remain rolled up for a few seconds before removing.
If needed, scrunch your hair to help shape your waves and comb through with gel to add that extra touch of elegance like Marilyn’s. Apply extra-gloss hairspray for lustre and hold.
Cat Woman
Get your full gear – mask, ears and cat suit ready! Cat woman’s hair is a very simple do but her edge and attitude needs to be represented in your hairstyle.
To get this look:
Section your hair into a half, front and back. Grab your straighteners and straighten both sections. You’ll need to create a quiff so use your fingers to part the front section of your hair. Backcomb your hair by holding a section of hair straight into the air by their ends. Place the comb at the halfway point between your head and your hand and tease the hair downwards, towards the scalp. Keep doing this with more sections of hair until you reach the hair at your forehead. Gather the ends of the backcombed hair at the crown of your head and twist them once. Add bobby pins to secure. Add a high sheen holding spray throughout your hair.

Two words – outrageously glamorous! If you’re going for this look you’ll need to get your hands on some luscious yellow clip in extensions to apply to the mid-back section of your head. Use your tongs to create spiraling curls and your volumising spray to keep that body. Be sure to find the most outlandish outfit you can put together to go out in true Lady Gaga style!

Using a curling tong wrap thick sections of hair around the tong, spaced out across the tong so the curl will look loose. If using straighteners pull the hair through quite quickly to avoid any tight curls. Use volumising spray to help keep your waves all night.
