RUSH Hair is awarded two titles at the British Hairdressing Awards 2010.

There were celebrations last night as RUSH Hair took home two awards from HJ’s prestigious British Hairdressing Awards; Artistic Team of the Year and Southern Hairdresser of the Year.

The RUSH Artistic Team competed against five other finalists to win Artistic Team of the Year, one of the most desired categories of the British Hairdressing Awards.

Seung-ki-Baek who works at RUSH Epsom, competed within the much sought-after category of Southern Hairdresser of the Year and was absolutely overwhelmed to win the much coveted title.

Held in the glamorous Grosvenor House Hotel in London’s Park Lane, the British Hairdressing Awards, now in their 26th year, are the ‘Oscars’ of the hairdressing world, recognising and celebrating the creativity of the inspirational British hairdressing industry. The event was compered by media personality Jonathan Ross who entertained the 1750 guests from the world of hairdressing, fashion and media in attendance.

After receiving the award Stelios Andrew, International Creative Director exclaimed; “We were so pleased to win the title of Artistic Team of the Year, it means so much to not only myself but everyone connected with RUSH Hair. This award is also a great tribute to the fantastic hairdressing talent and creativity within RUSH. 2010 has been a fantastic year for the entire team at RUSH and I would like to dedicate this award to them as without their amazing help and support we would not have won.”

“Each year the standard of entries in all categories greatly improves and the creativity is inspirational,” comments Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of Hairdressers Journal International, Jayne Lewis-Orr. “British hairdressing is perceived throughout the world as being the best, and the British Hairdressing Awards recognise and reward creativity and excellence in all hairdressing skills. RUSH should be very proud to have won this award.”

“My collection has been inspired by “The Coral Reef”. The movement of tropical fish….Their colour, their scales, tail and fins enabled me to create a strong, sophisticated structured look. Their beautiful flowing movement under water inspired these immense looks!”

“Our inspiration for the collection was ergonomic. Shapes that create strong rounded silhouettes that are fluid and curved without harsh lines. This is our interpretation of classic beauty that moulds to future femininity.”
